Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Indonesian National Police (INP) International Relations Division’s NCB Interpol Indonesia have arrested an international fugitive wanted for a high-profile murder case in Romania.
“This arrest confirms Indonesia’s strong commitment to international law enforcement cooperation,” Bali Regional Police Head of Public Relations Senior Commissioner Ariasandy said on Friday (16/1/2026), as reported by antaranews.com.
The fugitive, identified as Zuleam Costinel Cosmin (33), who was arrested, in Kerobokan, Badung Regency, Bali, in an operation on Thursday, was the subject of an Interpol Red Notice issued after a fatal robbery and murder in Sibiu, Romania, in November 2023.
Working with NCB Bucharest and other Interpol member countries, Indonesian authorities tracked and detained the suspect without incident.
The arrest was conducted by a joint task force involving Bali Police units and Interpol liaison officers. Cosmin is currently under detention at Bali Police headquarters while awaiting formal handover to Romanian authorities for prosecution.
