The Acting Head of Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Jakarta, Isnawa Adji, implore the coastal community of Jakarta to beware with tidal flood disaster potential from 19th to 23rd February, 2024. In anticipating the disaster, BPBD released a list of areas with the highest tidal flood potential, such as Kamal Muara, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, Pluit, Ancol, Marunda, Cilincing, Kalibaru, and Kamal. BPBD states that the tidal flood potential is at its peak at around 06.00 am to 10.00 am. “We informed the people who live in that area to beware with the increase of sea volume. We also implore the people to keep updated with the information relating to the tidal wave at bpbd.jakarta.go.id/gelombanglaut,” said Isnawa. Moreover, BPBD of Jakarta are cooperating with SDA Office and Gulkarmat Office for disaster prevention.
