Metro Jaya Reigonal Police deployed approximately 1,978 personnel from Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police to secure the demonstration in Monas Horse Statue to Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) Main Office and General Election Commission (KPU) Main Office, on Monday (2/19/2024). “Approximately 1,978 joint personnel prepared to serve and secure the situation in KPU or Bawaslu,” said Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro. Prior the demonstration, Susatyo asked the people in rally to continue maintain regional security by voicing their complaint to the election in peace. Meanwhile, Metro Jaya Regional Police also applied traffic engineering around the election organizers office. “The traffic directorate of Metro Jaya Regional Police applied temporary traffic engineering in TI. Cokroaminoto Menteng. The traffic flow towards HI Roundabout will be directed to Rasuna Said and Gondangdia,” said Susatyo. (ad/mz/pr/nm)
