Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Governor-elect Pramono Anung Wibowo has made it clear that civil servants working will not be allowed to practice polygamy during his administration.

"I believe in monogamy, and civil servants under Jakarta administration should never even consider polygamy under my leadership," he said after receiving an honorary title from the Betawi Majelis Kaum at Al Hamid Putra Islamic Boarding School in Cipayung, East Jakarta, on Saturday (1/1/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Governor-elect Pramono stressed that civil servants who violate this rule could face dismissal.

"If it’s not allowed but violated, there will be consequences. Even Bang Doel  isn’t exempt," he added, referring to Deputy Governor-elect Rano Karno.

Jakarta administration has recently issued Governor Regulation No. 2/2025, which provides clear guidelines on marriage and divorce for civil servants. Under this rule, male civil servants who wish to have multiple wives must obtain official approval.
