Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Flood conditions across Jakarta continued to improve on Saturday (24/1/2026), with inundated neighborhoods dropping from 126 to 46 as water levels steadily receded, according to the Jakarta Disaster Management Agency (BPBD).
The update was recorded at 6 pm following intensive drainage operations across the capital.
“As of 6 pm, 46 neighborhoods and one roadway remain affected, and water levels are continuing to decline across all municipalities,” BPBD spokesperson Mohamad Yohan said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The improvement was most visible in West Jakarta’s Duri Kosambi and Rawa Buaya, where flood depths fell from more than one meter to 20–50 centimeters, allowing residents to begin cleanup.
East Jakarta also saw significant reductions from earlier peaks exceeding two meters, while South Jakarta reported only four remaining flooded areas. Police remain deployed to secure neighborhoods and support aid distribution, as authorities stay alert to potential tidal flooding in North Jakarta.
