inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate has uncovered a drug trafficking case involving methamphetamine and ecstasy. The operation resulted in the seizure of 1,272.43 grams of methamphetamine and 1,451 ecstasy pills.
In this operation, police arrested three suspects with different roles in the network. The three suspects were arrested on Tuesday (1/20/2026) at approximately 5:30 p.m. at various locations in Central Jakarta and Bekasi City.
The main suspect, identified as TW (30) is a man who acted as the dealer. He was arrested along with his wife, RN (17), a woman, who is suspected of assisting in the drug trafficking activity.
Another suspect, DH (34), a man, was identified as a subordinate responsible for storing and securing the illicit goods. The arrests stemmed from public information regarding frequent drug trafficking activities at several locations.
Police then conducted an investigation and ultimately arrested TW and RN on the roadside in front of the Mediterania Palace Apartments in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
"Following up on information from the public, we arrested husband and wife TW and RN," said Head of Unit 3, Sub-Directorate 3, Directorate of Narcotics, Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Police Senior Inspector Abdul Muchzin GM, Friday (1/23/2026).
During the arrest, he said, officers seized several pieces of evidence in the possession of TW and RN, including two cell phones belonging to TW, two cell phones belonging to RN, a car, and four plastic baggies containing 1,017 ecstasy pills. Initial interrogation revealed that TW admitted to still possessing the narcotics entrusted to DH.
According to him, officers then conducted a follow-up investigation and arrested DH in front of Plaza Cibubur, Bekasi City. The search continued at the rented house and boarding house DH used as a storage location.
Following up on these investigations, officers conducted further searches and discovered other storage locations used by the suspects.
"The team conducted a follow-up investigation and arrested another suspect, identified as DH, in Bekasi," explained AKP Abdul Muchzin GM.
During DH's arrest, police confiscated 434 ecstasy pills, methamphetamine weighing a total of 1,272.43 grams, as well as several supporting items, including two cell phones, two digital scales, and 16 empty plastic bags suspected of being used for packaging the narcotics. Investigators' investigation revealed that the suspects were repeat offenders in similar cases and had previously been involved in drug trafficking cases.
"Currently, the three suspects have been detained at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Headquarters for further questioning," he said.
