Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) confirmed that floodwaters across the capital have fully subsided as of Sunday morning (1/2/2026).

After a grueling weekend where water levels reached up to 3.5 meters in parts of East Jakarta, officials reported that all 39 affected neighborhood units (RT) are now clear of standing water.

"As of 8 am, flooding in Jakarta has receded," said Mohamad Yohan, the Head of the BPBD Data and Information Center, as reported by antaranews.com

He credited the recovery to a collaborative effort involving portable pumps, rapid response teams, and local community leaders. Despite the clear streets

The flooding, which peaked on Friday, January 30, was triggered by torrential rains and the subsequent overflow of the Ciliwung River. Areas like Kebon Pala in Kampung Melayu were among the hardest hit.

BPBD remains on high alert, urging residents to stay vigilant as the rainy season continues. Jakatans are encouraged to use the 112 emergency hotline for any immediate assistance.
