Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation  of the Jakarta Metro Regional Police was required to re-summon the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Firli Bahuri, next week for questioning as a witness in the alleged extortion case reported by former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo. "We will send the re-summon notice today and re-schedule it to next week," said Superintendent Ade Safri Simanjuntak, the Director of Special Criminal Investigation  at the Jakarta Metro Police, during a press conference on Friday (20/10/2023) Ade did not specify the exact date for Firli's  questioning. He explained that KPK has sent a letter on Thursday requesting a postponement of Firli's questioning due to official duties. "The second reason is that Mr. Firli Bahuri, the KPK Chairman, needs time to familiarize himself with the examination material that will be conducted by the investigators from the Jakarta Metro Police," Director Ade was quoted by antaranews.com as saying. Firli was implicated in the alleged extortion case involving former minister Limpo, who has been in KPK detention after he was named a suspect in a corruption case. (mg/inp/pr/nm)
