Inp.polri.go.id – Jambi . The Human Trafficking Task Force of Jambi Regional Police have arrested 39 suspects from 30 cases since June to October 2023.
According to Jambi Regional Police General Criminal Investigation Director, Grand Commissioner Andri Ananta Yudhistira says 22 cases documents have been completed with the total victims of 49. Other cases are still in process.
The human trafficking task force have cooperated with other institution in revealing existed networks, both inside and outside Indonesia.
From the data reported, the underaged victims of the human trafficking case are 21 says the police, mostly from Kerinci regency and Jambi city.
“Particularly from Kerinci who then brought abroad,” he explains.
Previously, the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Jambi Regional Police have secured 37 suspects from 28 cases with total victims of 31.
According to the orders of the President, Indonesian National Police Chief, and Jambi Police Chief, the task force able to enforce the law on 28 police reports in under two months.
