Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A viral social media post claimed the Japanese government invited Indonesian citizens to change nationality in exchange for jobs paying Rp 27 million per month. 

After verification, no official information was found supporting such an offer.

The circulating post does not cite any credible source, and our search found no valid statement from the Japanese government.

The misleading post also used a photo of President Prabowo and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi taken during their meeting at the Akasaka Palace in Tokyo on 31 March 2026 from Kompas.com. The image was unrelated to the employment claim.
