PT Jasa Marga recorded 515,778 vehicles returning to Greater Jakarta (Jabotabek) during the New Year 2024 holiday period from December 31, 2023 to January 2, 2024, passing through four toll gates, namely Cikupa, Ciawi, Cikampek Utama, and Kalihurip Utama. Lisye Octaviana, Head of Corporate Communication & Community Development Group of Jasa Marga, revealed on Wednesday (3/1/2024), "The total returning traffic to Jabotabek increased by 14.63% to 449,944 vehicles during the same period compared to normal traffic. In comparison to the previous year, the total volume grew by 6.69% to 483,442 vehicles." She highlighted that traffic returning to Jabotabek from the Trans Java direction through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road reached 145,481 vehicles, marking a 54.69% increase from normal traffic. Concurrently, traffic returning from Bandung through Kalihurip Utama Toll Gate on the Cipularang Toll Road reached 128,573 vehicles, reflecting a 19.58% increase from normal traffic. "The total returning traffic from Trans Java and Bandung through these toll gates is 274,054 vehicles, a 35.96% increase from normal traffic," she said. Meanwhile, the traffic returning to Jabotabek from Merak through GT Cikupa on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road amounted to 123,890 vehicles, a 10.53% decrease from normal traffic. (ar/as/pr/nm)
