Jasa Marga to Close Access to Halim Bullet Train Project for Safety

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga will permanently close access to the Halim Bullet Train Station project on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road KM 00+850A starting Sunday, 18 February 2024, for safety reasons.
"This access was previously used exclusively by vehicles and project workers during the construction period of the High-Speed Train project," said Widyatmoko Nursejati, the Senior General Manager Jasa Marga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division, on Saturday.
Halim Station serves as the starting point for journeys to of the Whoosh high speed train to the final station in Tegal, West Java since 2 October 2023.
Therefore, due to the end of the construction period, access to the project at KM 0+850 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road must be closed to its original state for the safety and convenience of toll road users, antaranews.com reported.
Jasa Marga, PT KCIC, the Sino-Indonesian consortium responsible for the bullet train project, and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, have prepared a new access route to Halim Bullet Train Station, precisely at KM 1+842 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.
Construction of the toll gate and new access route to Halim High-Speed Train Station has reached its final stages and is currently undergoing follow-up for functional suitability testing by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, Ministry of Transportation, and the police.
In the near future, the contraflow access, previously starting from KM 00+200, will also be relocated to start from KM 01+400, precisely through Halim 3 Toll Gate on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards the Inner City Toll Road.
