Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State-owned insurance company Jasa Raharja supported the implementation of Digital Samsat at Leuwipanjang Terminal in Bandung, West Java, which can process vehicle registration extensions within 15 minutes, setting an example for all Samsat service units nationwide.
The Unified One-Stop Administration System, commonly known as Samsat, is a system for vehicle tax payments and registration in Indonesia.
"This digitalization serves as inspiration for other Samsat administrators. It sets a new standard that we will bring to all regional Samsat administrators from the national level," said Jasa Raharja's President Director, Rivan A. Purwantono, on Sunday (18/2/2024).
During a visit to Leuwipanjang Terminal, he said that taxpayers can utilize self-service using their ID cards at the Digital Samsat unit, making services more convenient for the public, antaranews.com reported.
With this digitalization, citizens can complete the STNK extension process, from vehicle physical checks to receiving license plates, within 15 minutes. Services that do not require physical vehicle checks can be completed in 5-10 minutes as residents only need to make digital payments and wait for verification from the officer.
Head of Traffic Directorate of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Inspector General Aan Suhanan, who also participated in the terminal visit, said that digital services represent the police force's commitment to providing quality services according to established standards.
"Various efforts to improve efficiency and comfort in motor vehicle administrative processes will continue, without neglecting compliance with applicable regulations," he added.
