Inp.polri.go.id - Nduga. The Indonesian Military and the Indonesian National Police (INP) launched a joint patrol to anticipate possible security and public order disturbances around Tombosit Village and Banggi Village in Kenyam District, Nduga Regency.

Head of Operations of the Nduga Police First Inspector Bayu Pratama Sudirno said on Tuesday (3/21/23) that the joint patrols were a form of anticipation and quick response by the security forces following information Egianus Kogoya-led Armed Criminal Group (KKB) crossed the two villages.

"The joint patrols are a form of the presence and response of the on-duty security forces in Nduga Regency," he said, adding that the security activities were also meant to provide a sense of security and comfort for the local community to engage in their daily activities.

The inspector said that the joint patrol is scheduled to be intensified in the afternoon and after dawn to narrow the space for KKB to commit possible crimes and illegal activities in these villages.

"We will always unite to maintain security and public order. Of course, we also need the support of other components of society to protect the land of Papua with peace and love," he added.
