inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Joko Widodo appointed Teguh Setyabudi as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta. Teguh replaces the previous official, Heru Budi Hartono, who has been serving since 2022.

Coordinator of the President's Special Staff Ari Dwipayana said the decision was stated in Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 125P, dated October 16th, 2024, concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta.

"President Jokowi has signed Presidential Decree No. 125P, dated October 16th, 2024, concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta," said Staff Coordinator Ari on Thursday (10/17/2024).

He explained that in the Presidential Decree, President Jokowi honorably dismissed Heru Budi Hartono as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta and appointed Teguh Setyabudi as the new Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta.

As is known, Heru Budi, who also serves as Head of the Presidential Secretariat, was appointed by President Joko Widodo as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta from October 17th, 2022. Heru replaces Anies Baswedan whose term of office ends on October 16th, 2022. 

After going through an evaluation, the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) again extended Heru Budi's term of office until October 2024.
