Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian President Joko Widodo says that the ecosystem of electric vehicles in Indonesia will soon be formed when the battery industrial factory begins its production.

“It will be next month. When the battery industrial factories begin to run, then we hope this (electric vehicle) ecosystem will finally be built, be formed,” said Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Friday (5/3/2024).

Jokowi is also satisfied with the electric vehicle industry in Indonesia that continues to grow. As of now, there are 59 electric vehicle factories that build electric motorcycles, five factories that build electric cars, one factory to build electric buses, and another one factory that builds electric trucks.

He asked all related parties involved for this new ecosystem to continue to grow without any hindrance.

“This new big ecosystem must be maintained and free from hindrance. I think that is the goal,” said Jokowi.
