Inp.polri.go.id – Luwu. Flash flood hits Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi on Friday (5/3/2024). Due to the strong wave of the flash flood, the Palopo-Makassar axis road is completely paralyzed.

According to the locals, the flash flood occurred when most people were asleep, at around 02.00 am. The disaster has caused several neighborhoods in Luwu to be flooded.

One of the locals, Arifin, says that the height of the flood is about more than a meter and the flood has forced people to evacuate.

As of now, there is still no official data of how many neighborhoods were exactly affected by the flash flood, including the number of the victims.

Meanwhile, the joint rescue team still continuously evacuates the victims while the others are going to search for someone missing at the landslide location.
