inp.polri.go.id - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) emphasized that Indonesia has no interest other than wanting the war to be over soon and the food, fertilizer, and energy supply chains can be fixed immediately.
This was conveyed by Jokowi during his visit to Moscow, Russia, to meet President Vladimir Putin.
"I convey that Indonesia has no interest other than to see that the war to be over soon and energy supply chains can be fixed immediately. Because this sector involves the lives of hundreds of millions of people, even billions of people," Jokowi said at a press conference with Putin in Russia, Thursday. (30/06/22).
Jokowi also invited all world leaders to come together to revive the spirit of multilateralism, the spirit of peace and the spirit of cooperation.
"Because only with this spirit can peace be achieved," said Jokowi.
In their meeting at the Kremlin Palace, Moscow, Russia, Jokowi and Putin discussed a number of things. Starting from opening a space for Russian-Ukrainian dialogue and President Jokowi being willing to be a communication bridge between the leaders of Ukraine and Russia, to asking for Russian security guarantees for Ukrainian food export routes.
In response to this, Putin promised Jokowi to provide security guarantees for food supplies from both Ukraine and Russia.
"I really appreciate President Putin, who said earlier that he will guarantee the security of food and fertilizer supplies from Ukraine and Russia, this is good news," said Jokowi.
