Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State-owned railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is redirecting 32 train services from Gambir Station to Jatinegara Station during the inauguration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka on Sunday.
KAI's Vice President of Public Relations, Anne Purba, explained on Friday (18/10/2024) that this change aims to manage the expected increase in passengers wanting to attend the event.
“This includes 27 long-distance train departures and five arrivals stopping at Jatinegara," she said, as reported by antaranews.com.
The adjustment is designed to prevent delays for train users traveling to Gambir due to traffic changes. KAI Commuter will increase service frequency, operating on a weekday schedule with 1,048 trips over the weekend of the weekend.
KAI is partnering with the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police to secure stations throughout Jakarta, deploying 152 security personnel. Extra security will be stationed at key Commuterline and LRT Jabodebek stops.
