Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. A total of 147 officers from the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Sub-regional Police have started securing routes for VVIP guests attending the inauguration of President-elect Prabowo Subianto on Sunday.
Soekarno-Hatta Police Deputy Chief SuperintendentRonald FC Sipayung said on Friday (18/10/2024) that they are coordinating security measures with local airport authorities.
"We have deployed 147 officers for Soekarno-Hatta Airport," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The security operation will be in place for five days, from Friday until the guests depart on Tuesday.
PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, the main operator of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, has set up VVIP facilities to welcome the delegations and state guests.
Senior Manager M. Holik Muardi emphasized that the focus will be on security, safety, and service during this period.
Currently, only Germany has confirmed its represtatives arrival in Indonesia. Other delegations, including representatives from Russia, Laos, and Vietnam, are expected to arrive on Saturday, with around 1,100 attendees anticipated for the inauguration ceremony.
