Inp.polri.go.id - Malang. East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Nanang Avianto said on Tuesday (6/5/2025) that security operations at Kanjuruhan Stadium in Malang, East Java, will prioritize a humane and professional approach as Arema FC club prepares to return to its home ground.
Speaking during a coordination meeting with local government officials, Arema FC management, and Aremania supporters, he said that police personnel will undergo assessments and coordinate with match organizers to ensure humane and respectful conduct during games.
“Security must be carried out with professionalism and empathy to create a safe, comfortable environment for the public,” Chief Nanag said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
He added that football should be a source of entertainment, not fear, for the community, and its safe organization reflects the overall stability in East Java.
Malang Police Chief Superintendent Danang Setiyo detailed that roughly 2,000 joint personnel from the police, military, and local administration will secure Arema’s homecoming match against Persik Kediri on 11 May 2025. Police will oversee zones outside the stadium, while internal areas will be managed by event stewards.
