Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Head of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho expressed gratitude to President Prabowo Subianto for his acknowledgement of the 2025 Eid al-Fitr homecoming operations.

Speaking in Jakarta on Tuesday (6/5/2025), he credited the success to strong cross-sector collaboration among the Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Public Works and Housing, the military, local administrations, and public cooperation.

“The smooth and safe homecoming was a collective achievement. We thank the President and all stakeholders who contributed to this year’s success,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Chief Agus noted that effective traffic engineering measures—such as one-way and contra-flow systems—combined with technological support and personnel readiness, led to a significant drop in accidents and fatalities.

President Prabowo had earlier hailed the 2025 mudik as the best in history, citing a 30% drop in traffic accidents despite a rise in traveler numbers.
