Around 1,000 elderly people living in Tebing Tinggi has received vaccinations, either first, second or the third dose, Wednesday (16/3/22). North Sumatra Police Chief (Kapolda Sumut) Inspector General R. Z. Panca Putra was directly involved in observing the implementation of vaccination, which was not only attended by the elderly people, but also the general public. The Kapolda requested that the Polres and Kodim, together with the regional government to continue to encourage the acceleration of vaccination, especially for the elderly who are among the group susceptible to Covid-19. "Prioritize the vaccination, both dose II and dose III, for the elderly to be completed immediately because they are more susceptible to Covid-19," he stated.. For the region where the vaccination rate is still low, Inspector General R. Z. Panca Putra ordered the Resort Police to cooperate with the TNI and related stakeholders to carry out various steps and strategies that were outside the routine to boost the rate. "For strategies of the acceleration, the Chief of Police must innovate in boosting the vaccination rate, and continue to build communication and cooperate with the TNI and the Regional Government," said the Kapolda.
