Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. A road construction worker from PT TJP was shot dead by armed crimincal group (KKB) in Ndugisiga Village, Intan Jaya District, Central Papua, on Wednesday (8/10/2025).

“It’s true that Anselmus Arfin, a PT TJP employee, was killed after being shot by KKB members in Ndugisiga Village,” said Intan Jaya Sub-regional Police Chief Senior Inspector Sofian Samakori in a statement to antaranews.com.

According to police reports, the victim and four colleagues were conducting road measurements using a tractor near the border between Ndugisiga and Bambu Kuning when a gunshot was heard from the left side of the road. 

“Witnesses saw Anselmus hit in the left chest, with the bullet exiting through his back. He fell on the roadside,” Chief Samakori explained.

Fellow workers, including Muhammad Rasyid, immediately evacuated the victim to RSUD Sugapa Regional Hospital. Police are investigating the perpetrators, while the body is scheduled to be flown to Timika.
