inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo welcomes the visit of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Head Setyo Budiyanto and entourage.

The visit by Setyo to INP HQ was the first time since his appointment as the new KPK Head.

Setyo says that his visit was to boost the collaboration between his party and the police. There have been many collaborations done by the two institutions in eradicating corruption, from education, prevention, and enforcement efforts.

“I believe that the formation of the Corruption Law Enforcement Corps by INP is a breath of fresh air for us, KPK,” says Setyo at the Main Meeting Room of INP on Wednesday (1/8/2025).

Setyo noted that the Corruption Law Enforcement Corps can provide better action against corruption.

On the other hand, the two chiefs also talked about improving the Corruption Perception Index (IPK) as for the last five years, the IPK number of Indonesia is far from the target.

“This is indeed our responsibility, but I am sure that the assessment on IPK is a perception that eventually becomes our collective responsibility, one of which is the Indonesian National Police,” says Setyo.

He said, support from the Police to be able to jointly improve IPK is very important. The KPK and the Police will also renew the MoU that has been done for a long time.

The Chief of Police added that this meeting was a good start for the synergy between the KPK and Police. This meeting also symbolized a growing cooperation in eradicating corruption.

General Sigit also emphasized the commitment to truly be able to make improvements, eradicate corruption, increase state revenues, and also carry out things that are efficient which will lead to optimizing the use of the state budget. One of them, said the Chief of Police, is by increasing various efforts to prevent, prosecute, and eradicate corruption.
