Police Successfully Rescue Emergency Patient from the Middle of the Sea to Hospital

inp.polri.go.id - Balikpapan. Search and Rescue unit of Batalyon A of Mobile Brigade Unit of East Kalimantan Regional Police heroically evacuates emergency patients in the middle of the sea on Tuesday (1/7/2025).

The patient was one of the crew members (ABK) of the ship M-V SINES SEOGWIPO which was about to sail from South Korea to Australia.

The Commander of the Mobile Brigade Unit, Senior Superintendent Andy Rifai, through his spokesperson, Police Assistant Superintendent Iwan Pamuji explains that the ship was crossing Berau waters when his unit received information that there is an emergency patient that requires immediate evacuation.

"The patient is a male (53) from North Sumatra and works as a crew member of the ship," he said.

"After a thorough examination by medical personnel at Semayang Balikpapan Port, our team helped evacuate him to Siloam Balikpapan Hospital," added Iwan Pamuji.
