inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police explained the latest developments in the acid attack on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus, revealing the alleged perpetrator's face to the public.

Kompolnas Commissioner Choirul Anam stated that his office has been coordinating with the police since the beginning to ensure a transparent handling of the case. 

"One of the most important things is that we express our gratitude for the accountability and process that has been carried out so far. Because from the beginning, since the first day when this incident occurred, we have communicated and coordinated with our police colleagues, especially the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, to ensure that the process is carried out transparently and accountably," said Choirul.

Choirul explained that the release of CCTV footage showing the perpetrator is evidence of the authorities' openness in investigating the case.

“We have seen that they showed their accountability and transparency through playing the CCTV footage, showing the CCTV footage, and revealing whoever is behind the scenes captured on the CCTV," he concluded.
