Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) highlighted the critical importance of transparency during the recruitment of Police Academy (Akpol) cadets at the East Java Regional Police on Saturday (25/4/2026).
A total of 276 participants underwent psychological testing at SMKN 5 Surabaya vocational high school as part of the initial selection phase for the 2026 recruitment cycle.
"Our team is here to witness the selection process directly. The spirit is accountability; there must be no cheating or legal violations in this process," said Kompolnas Commissioner Mohammad Choirul Anam, as cited by antaranews.com.
He noted that the current recruitment system is participatory, involving external professional organizations and the participants themselves through an open-system approach.
To ensure a "zero percent" opportunity for fraud, strict protocols were observed, including the prohibition of electronic devices and the immediate release of test scores. Participants are encouraged to report any grievances directly to the committee. Anam also warned the public against "middlemen" or individuals promising guaranteed admission in exchange for money.
East Java Police Head of Human Resources Senior Superintendent Pol Sih Harno, reaffirmed that the selection follows the BETAH principles of Clean, Transparent, Accountable, and Humanistic. The process is being monitored by both internal oversight bodies and external observers like Kompolnas to ensure that the future of the Indonesian National Police (INP) begins with high-quality, fairly selected candidates.
