inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) officially kicked off the 2026 Kompolnas Awards series of events through a socialization event held at the Kompolnas Office in South Jakarta on Tuesday (6/2/2026). This annual awards program recognizes police units that demonstrate the best performance in providing services to the public.
Kompolnas Secretary, Arief Wicaksono Sudiutomo, explained that the 2026 Kompolnas Awards was the fifth since its inception. He stated that the event was held in collaboration with all levels of the Indonesian National Police (INP), from the INP Headquarters, Regional Police, Sub-regional Police, and Sector Police throughout Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Kompolnas Commissioner and Chairperson of the 2026 Kompolnas Awards Committee, Ida Oetari Poernamasasi, stated that there were a number of improvements to this year's assessment mechanism.
According to Ida, the Kompolnas Awards aim to recognize the best-performing police units and motivate other units to continuously improve the quality of their services to the public.
"The Kompolnas Awards are a form of appreciation or recognition from Kompolnas to the police work units with the best performance. We hope this will motivate other work units through the implementation of best practices so that all police members can continuously improve their performance," Ida said.
She explained that one of the main aspects that characterizes the Kompolnas Awards assessment is the work unit's response to public complaints received by Kompolnas, including the speed and quality of follow-up.
In addition to assessing organizational performance, Kompolnas will also conduct field visits to the best nominees to ensure the quantitative data aligns with actual conditions on the ground. The assessment refers to five main indicators, or "5Ps": Prosperity, Planet, People, Partnership, and Peace.
The 2026 Kompolnas Awards will begin in June 2026 and will culminate in an awards ceremony on September 3, 2026.
