inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) is a strategic partner of INP and remains committed to making improvements to realize the hopes of Indonesians.

Sigit conveyed this during his keynote speech at the Kompolnas Supervisory Coordination Meeting (Rakorwas) at the Mercure Hotel, Ancol, North Jakarta, Wednesday (6/10/2026).

"Of course, we hope that Kompolnas' role as a strategic partner will continue to ensure that we operate in accordance with the public's expectations," he said.

He stated that Kompolnas is tasked with providing recommendations to President Prabowo Subianto. It also serves to accommodate and channel public aspirations and complaints, particularly regarding the Bhayangkara Corps.

The INP Chief also ensured that all input, complaints, and criticism will be collected and used to evaluate improvements to the police force.

"The criticism will obviously be used as material for improvements to the institution. Moreover, we have just finalized the INP Law and we are currently continuing to improve the INP Regulation while waiting for the enactment of the INP Law," said Sigit.

Furthermore, he hopes that the Rakorwas will also serve as a forum to further strengthen the cooperation between Kompolnas and INP going forward. That way, Sigit said, the Bhayangkara Corps will become an institution respected by the people.

"However, I believe the cooperation has been going well between Kompolnas and us, especially in terms of supervision, then paying attention to what is of public concern, and then making improvements. In the future, we pray this institution can truly continue to be an adaptive institution, a modern institution, an institution that can continue to adapt to what the public expects," Chief Sigit concluded.
