inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. Police have explained the viral video allegedly showing a gay party at a nightclub in Karawang. Police have now named three suspects in this case, which has garnered public attention.
The suspects were named after investigators from the Karawang Sub-regional Police conducted a series of investigations, inspected the scene, and interviewed several witnesses. The three suspects identified as SA, RD, and DD.
Head of Public Relations for the West Java Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Hendra Rochmawan, stated that the investigation was conducted to investigate the alleged violation of the law captured in the video widely circulated on social media.
"The video, which was widely circulated on social media, previously attracted public attention and prompted police to conduct an in-depth investigation to determine the alleged violation of the law," he said on Tuesday (6/9/2026).
During the investigation, investigators have questioned seven witnesses. Investigators are also coordinating with the Public Prosecutor (JPU) regarding the application of the articles to be charged against the suspects.
The three suspects were charged under Articles 406 and 414 of the Criminal Code (KUHP). For their actions, they face a maximum sentence of nine years in prison.
