Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Member of National Police Commission (Kompolnas) Poengky Indarti reminds members of Indonesian National Police (INP) to fix their communication with people who came to report their case. This initiative, says Poengky, is to further increase public trust towards the police.
“There are still 16.8% respondents who prefer making their reports in social media goes viral, and this should be concerning for the police institution. Police have to hasten their service and fix their communications strategy with the general public,” says Poengky quoted from Antara on Wednesday (12/27/2023).
According to her, Kompolnas have found some people who did not trust the police due to ineffective communication between the complainants and investigators, resulting them feeling not being served well.
“With a proper communication and good investigator administration management, I am sure public trust towards the police would go up significantly,” explains Poengky.
On the other hand, Kompolnas welcomes the good result of Litbang Kompolnas survey which showed 87.8% of the general public are satisfied with police performance.
“We hope that this survey results would not conceit the institution, but instead whip them to better their best service to the people,” hope Poengky.
