He urged residents not to be easily provoked by information deliberately created to disrupt public order, especially in Jayapura.
"What we are experiencing now is the loss of a figure, the best brother in Papua. Let us pray together that the late Lukas Enembe will be with the Almighty and that the family left behind will be given strength, fortitude and comfort," the spokesperson said.
In the peaceful and loving moment of Christmas, he also urged Jayapura residents, especially Christians in the city of Jayapura and its surrounding , to remain calm amid the sad news of Enembe who passed away on Tuesday in Jakarta.
"Let us keep the peace and support each other by making this Christmas moment a call to share love, happiness and maintain unity," he said.
