Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) requested the Indonesian National Police (INP) to completely eradicate the human trafficking cases that are now on the rise.
“The case handling must have good communication between the police and FBI. As of now, there are around a million case and we have to seriously handle this case fast,” said the daily head of Kompolnas, Benny Mamoto in his opening remarks at a Focus Group Discussion on Tuesday (5/7/2024).
Benny says that in the effort of completely handling the human trafficking case, there also must be a preventive effort and massive coordination. The steps must be taken thoroughly by police members in INP to colleagues in International stages.
According to him, INP also have to strengthen their capacity in handling the human trafficking case.
“We recommend the police to strengthen their attachment to prevent our people to be the victim of the human trafficking case as we pray that our people in foreign states are safe,” adds Benny.
According to the 2021 to 2023 data, there are a significant case increase from 380 in 2021 to 512 cases in 2023. This shows the urgency for the police to immediately act in resolving the case.
