inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Civil Service Corps of the Republic of Indonesia (KORPRI), who is also the Head of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN), Zudan Arif Fakrullah stated that KORPRI has officially proposed raising the retirement age limit (BUP) for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) which was submitted to the President, the Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR), and the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB).
"The proposal to raise the BUP aims to encourage the skills and careers of ASN employees, and I see that the age level is getting higher and life expectancy is getting better so it is reasonable for ASN BUP to be increased, both for those in structural positions and functional positions," said Zudan in his statement in Jakarta, Friday (5/23/2025).
He explained that KORPRI proposed that Senior Leadership Officials BUP to be at the age of 65 years; Echelon I BUP is at 63 years; Echelon II reaches BUP is at 62 years, Echelon III and IV BUP is at 60 years, then for the Main Functional Position is at 70 years.
Relating to KORPRI, Zudan said that the National KORPRI Board of Directors holds a National Sports Week in every odd year, which the previous year was held in Semarang City which was attended by 101 contingents from 34 Provinces 78/79 Ministries and Institutions.
On the other hand, in every even year, KORPRI also holds the National MTQ, which last year was held in Palangkaraya City, Central Kalimantan, and next year will be held in Makassar City.
Furthermore, for other programs such as Community Service, Cleft Lip Surgery, Cataract Surgery, and Mass Circumcision, KOPRI collaborates with various hospitals and the Regional Government.
"So there are many things that can be optimized from the existence of KORPRI, namely from members to members, including the Umrah departure program, we at KOPRI Pusat have sent off six times. Although it stopped during the COVID-19 period, after that we revived it through the Easy Umrah with KORPRI program," concluded Zudan.
