Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has detained Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang during a sting operation in Bekasi Regency, West Java, early Friday (19/12/2025), as part of an ongoing corruption investigation.
“Yes, he is among those detained,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said, confirming that Ade Kuswara is currently undergoing intensive questioning at the commission’s office.
The arrest followed a series of coordinated operations conducted on Thursday night, during which investigators detained 10 people suspected of involvement in an alleged corruption scheme. Under Indonesian criminal procedure law, the KPK has 24 hours to determine the legal status of those arrested.
The operation was carried out in West Java’s Bekasi, targeting local administration officials, although the KPK has yet to disclose details of the alleged case or charges. The commission said further information would be announced after the examination process is completed.
In two other separate cases, the KPK also arrested Hulu Sungai Utara District Prosecutor Albertinus Parlinggoman Napitupulu in South Kalimantan over alleged extortion, seizing hundreds of millions of rupiah in cash. The agency recently also handled a sting in Banten involving a prosecutor, lawyers, and private parties.
