The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has conducted a surprise raid at the official residence of Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, in South Jakarta on Thursday (28/9/2023)  as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged corruption within the Ministry of Agriculture. Ali Fikri,  Head of KPK Information Department, confirmed the operation but provided no immediate details regarding findings. The search follows the KPK's announcement in June that it had initiated an inquiry into suspected corruption within the Ministry. Minister Yasin Limpo, who had been summoned by the KPK earlier, expressed his cooperation and readiness to assist in the ongoing investigation. The KPK has gathered statements from 49 officials and civil servants at the Ministry of Agriculture as part of its extensive probe. Further developments in the case are anticipated, including the possibility of additional summons for individuals as the investigation unfolds.
