Inp.polri.go.id - Serang.  The General Election Commission (KPU) of Indonesia has urged losing candidates in the repeat regional election to accept the results with an open heart.

“I hope all candidates can accept the results with grace and a broad mind,” said KPU commissioner Iffa Rosita after monitoring the plenary session of repeat regional election vote recapitulation in Serang, Banten, on Thursday (24/4/2025).

Iffa also reminded the election organizers in Serang to be cautious during the recapitulation process, as seven of the eleven regions that held the repeat election after the Constitutional Court’s decision have filed new lawsuits.

"We must be careful because seven regions have filed further appeals to the MK. Serang should avoid this," she said, as quoted by antaranews.com..
