Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The General Election Commission (KPU) inaugurated 5,741,127 members of the polling station organizers (KPPS) across 71,000 locations, on Thursday (25/1/2024). Chairman Hasyim Asy’ari personally oversaw the inauguration, ensuring that millions of KPPS members immediately received comprehensive technical guidance (bimtek) covering various aspects of the voting process right after the ceremony. He said that in contrast to past elections where only one KPPS member per polling station (TPS) received training, the 2024 Elections will see all seven members of the KPPS at each TPS undergoing training provided by the KPU. "The primary aim is to improve voters' competence in exercising their voting rights at polling stations. Training all seven members also offers an opportunity for mutual reinforcement of understanding and technical capabilities during the voting and vote counting processes at the TPS," he explained.
