inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) Mochamad Afifuddin said that the process of printing ballots for the farthest or outermost areas for the upcoming Regional Head Election is a top priority.

He explained that KPU is focusing on completing the logistics distribution process to the remote areas. Thus, printing companies are urged by KPU to immediately complete the ballots printing.

He further explained that the transportation challenges in each region are very different, especially in the outermost areas. So to avoid delays in delivery, the printing process for the remote areas must be completed first.

The KPU Chairman gave an example of ballots for Central Papua Province which had been completed several days ago, and are now ready to be delivered.

"We always urge all logistics divisions in the regional KPU to pay more attention to the farthest areas so that they can be sent first," said the KPU Chairman.

Meanwhile, during his visit to East Java, the KPU Chairman checked two locations that produce ballots at factories owned by PT Antar Surya Jaya and PT Inpera Pratama Indonesia, which are located in Surabaya City and Pasuruan Regency respectively.

The two factories are KPU partners to produce ballots in a number of regions in Indonesia, including South Sulawesi, West Kalimantan, Central Papua, Gorontalo, North Sulawesi, East Nusa Tenggara, and others.
