Inp.polri.go.id - Bandar Lampung. Lampung Regional Police have uncovered an illegal home industry modifying and assembling firearms in Bandar Lampung, arresting three suspects and seizing thousands of rounds of ammunition.

“In this case of illegal firearms possession, modification, and unlicensed ammunition, we have secured three suspects,” said Lampung Police Chief Inspector General Helmy Santika during a press conference on Thursday (26/6/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

The investigation began with a theft case in early May, which led to the arrest of a suspect in possession of a homemade FN-type firearm and four 9mm rounds. Further probes uncovered a workshop in Kemiling District, where police seized four illegal firearms, welding and drilling equipment, and thousands of bullets.

The network allegedly sourced ammunition from a supplier in Purbalingga, Central Java, where police confiscated over 8,300 rounds, including military-grade calibers.

Police are continuing the investigation and searching for buyers linked to criminal networks.
