inp.polri.go.id - Lampung. Lampung Regional Police have arrested two suspects who have sold thousands of Clear Lobster Seeds (BBL) in a warehouse, West Pesisir Regency. The two suspects, Renaldi and Randi faced a possibility of a 10 years imprisonment.
Lampung Regional Police Special Criminal Investigation Director, Senior Superintendent Donny Arief Praptomo says that the two have accommodate and sold the BBLwithout having a business permit.
During the raid, police have secured thousands of BBL ready to sell, and dozens of clear plastic to portable pool aerator.
“We have seized evidence of 7,500 BBL, one aerator, 16 empty jars, 50 clear plastic packaging and 5 polyfoam boxes. They acquired BBL from collectors who received them from BBL fishermen and bought for 20,000 IDR per piece," explained Donny.
After acquiring the BBL, they were then held and packaged and were about to be sold outside Lampung Province.
Donny says the two suspects will be charged with Article 86 paragraph (1) Jo. Article 12 paragraph (1) or Article 88 Jo. Article 16 paragraph (1) or Article 92 Jo. Article 26 paragraph (1) of Law No. 31 of 2004 as amended by Law No. 45 of 2009 concerning amendments to Law No. 31 of 2004 concerning fisheries as the latest amendment to Law No. 6 of 2023 concerning the stipulation of Perpu No. 2 of 2022 concerning job creation.
