Inp.polri.go.id – Lampung. Lampung Regional Police sets several locations to be the buffer zone for 2024 homecoming season. There are nine buffer zones prepared by the police from Lampung Toll Road and Trans Sumatra Road. The Public Relations Chief of Lampung Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Umi Fadilah said that all of the buffer zones are in South Lampung, particularly near Bakauheni Port. The aim of the buffer zones is to disperse traffic congestion of vehicle going to cross to Java Island during the homecoming season. “The buffer zone is to overcome the traffic congestions in Bakauheni Port during the homecoming flow,” says Umi on Tuesday (3/19/2024). The nine buffer zones are the rest areas of KM 87B KM 67 B, KM 49 B, KM 33 B, and KM 20 B. “Then in Agribisnis Gayam Terminal, Gunung Jati Restaurant, Tiga Saudara Terminal, and the old office of Agriculture Quarantine Hall,” Umi continued. In anticipating the congestions at the port, ASDP Indonesia Ferry has implemented minimum radius policy for purchasing ship tickets at Bakauheni Port and Merak Port. At Bakauheni Port, ticket purchases are to be purchased 4.24 km from the center point of the outermost port. (ad/mz/pr/nm)
