Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya  Regional Police confirmed on Sunday (19/4/2026) that lawmaker and celebrity Surya Utama, popularly known as Uya Kuya, filed a formal report regarding viral misinformation falsely claiming he owns hundreds of "Free Nutritious Meal" (MBG) kitchens.

"We have indeed received the report concerning the dissemination of false information through digital platforms," said Metro Jaya Police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, as cited by antaranews.com.

The report, filed late Saturday night, targets a social media account on the platform Threads that shared an edited photo of the politician. The post alleged that Uya Kuya manages 750 MBG service units, a narrative the victim claims is entirely fabricated and personally damaging. Investigators are currently identifying the account holder behind the post under the Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Law.

Authorities are treating the case as a serious breach of digital ethics and data manipulation.
