inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi) expressed its appreciation for the Indonesian National Police (INP)'s performance in securing the 2026 May Day commemoration held in Jakarta and several other major cities safely.
Lemkapi Executive Director, Edi Hasibuan, assessed that the successful security efforts were due to the preparedness and strategies developed by the National Police long before the event.
"We commend the performance of INP Chief and all police officers who succeeded in ensuring the May Day commemoration ran peacefully and conducively," said Edi in Jakarta, Friday (5/1/2026).
According to Edi, INP have taken anticipatory measures by establishing good communication with labor leaders, including through a meeting between INP Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya ahead of May Day at the National Monument (Monas).
He emphasized that synergy between security forces, relevant agencies, and the support of workers were crucial factors in creating a safe and conducive environment during the May Day commemoration.
"Thanks to the hard work of all levels of INP and relevant agencies, as well as the support of workers, the May Day commemoration was very safe, peaceful, and conducive," he said.
