inp.polri.go.id - Central Java. The Central Java Regional Police, along with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for Central Java and Yogyakarta Provinces, are enhancing consumer protection through collaboration in enforcing ethical and regulatory credit collection practices.
This affirmation was conveyed by the Head of the OJK for Central Java Province, Hidayat Prabowo, during a joint educational event with the Central Java Regional Police for Financial Services Businesses (PUJK) entitled "Improving Consumer Protection through Ethical Collection."
The event was attended by more than 580 participants from the banking industry and financing institutions in Central Java and Yogyakarta on Sunday (May 3, 2026).
"The OJK, together with the Central Java Regional Police, and all stakeholders need to ensure that business processes in the financial services sector are carried out professionally and in accordance with regulations to protect the interests of consumers and the public," said Hidayat.
Furthermore, consumer protection requires the prerequisite of good faith from consumers and the public, as parties who benefit from financial services, to fulfill their obligations to banks and financing companies.
"All parties are required to carry out their duties and obligations properly, including those providing loans and those receiving them, including those providing collection services."
