Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Astra Tol Cipali and the Indonesian National Police (INP)  Traffic Corps officially launched a local one-way traffic scheme heading toward Jakarta on Monday (23/3/2026) at 5.08 pm to manage the surging post-Eid return flow.

"The one-way implementation is part of a localized traffic engineering strategy spanning from kilometer 263 Pejagan–Pemalang to kilometer 70 Jakarta–Cikampek," said Ardam Rafif Trisilo, the Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Department Head at Astra Tol Cipali, as cited by antaranews.com

Preparations, including the sterilization of Jakarta-bound lanes and rest areas, began at 2 pm. Data collected between midnight and 5 pm on Monday showed a 101% increase in Jakarta-bound traffic compared to the previous day, with approximately 38,000 vehicles passing through Cikopo. 

Authorities strongly advise motorists to maintain safe following distances and strictly follow officer instructions. To prevent hazardous bottlenecks, drivers are prohibited from stopping on the shoulder except in emergencies. If rest areas reach full capacity, travelers are encouraged to exit at the nearest toll gate to find amenities, as the total toll fare will remain unchanged based on the distance traveled.
