Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Regulatory Body for Upstream Oil and Gas (BPH Migas) confirmed on Monday(23/3/2026) that national fuel stocks are in a "very secure" condition to meet the high demand expected during the 2026 Eid return flow.
"As we approach the return peak, BPH Migas confirms that national fuel stocks are very safe," said BPH Migas Committee Member Fathul Nugroho, as cited by antaranews.com
He urged travelers to remain calm and avoid panic buying, highlighting that the Pertamina Delivery Service (PDS) via hotline 135 remains available for emergency fuel needs on the road.
Current data from Sunday shows that both subsidized and non-subsidized fuel reserves are at optimal levels, with distribution from Pertamina terminals to gas stations proceeding without significant hurdles. To manage local surges, particularly in West Kalimantan, several SPBUs in Pontianak are operating 24 hours a day. While some areas like Sambas and Landak are still experiencing dense queues, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has deployed additional tank trucks and extended operational hours to normalize supply.
During the peak period of 9 to 22 March 2026, Pertalite and Pertamax gasoline consumption rose by nearly 20%, while diesel demand saw a slight decrease, indicating a well-managed transition as millions of motorists prepare for their journey back to urban centers.
