Inp.polri.go.id - Yogyakarta. First Inspector Nur Alim, the 54-year-old Chief of the Tugu Security Post, died on duty in Yogyakarta on Wednesday (25/3/2026) after reportedly collapsing from exhaustion during Operation Ketupat Progo 2026.

"He was found unconscious at approximately 11.40 am near the security post shortly after mentioning he felt unwell," said Second Inspector R. Anton Budi Susila, the Public Relations Officer for the Yogyakarta City Sub-regional Police, as cited by antaranews.com

Colleagues noted that the officer, who also served as the Traffic Unit Chief for Gedongtengen Police, had actively managed the high-traffic Tugu area since13  March 2026. Despite complaining of fatigue and minor illness the previous day, he remained on site until midnight to oversee the heavy Eid return flow.

Emergency teams transported him to Bethesda Hospital, but he could not be revived. The Yogyakarta Regional Police expressed deep condolences for the loss of the dedicated officer, whose passing highlights the physical toll on personnel managing the massive 25-post security operation across the province.
