Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Military(TNI) announced on Wednesday (25/3/2026) that Lieutenant General Yudi Abrimantyo has officially surrendered his position as Head of the Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS).
"As a form of accountability, the handover of the BAIS leadership position was conducted today," said Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, the Head of the TNI Information Center, during a press conference at TNI headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, as cited by antaranews.com.
The leadership change in the TNI’s elite intelligence wing follows an internal investigation into a high-profile acid attack against KontraS activist Andrie Yunus. Four active-duty intelligence officers, identified as Captain NDP, First Lieutenant SL, First Lieutenant BHW, and Sergeant ES. have been named as suspects in the assault.
While the military spokesperson declined to specify whether a permanent successor had been appointed, he said that the suspects remain under intensive interrogation by internal investigators.
